Goals
for this module!
First goal I have for myself is that I really want to get better
at my workshop/creation skills and by that, I mean I want to improve my skills
in making things well in the workshop things like prototypes or maybe even some
passion projects. I always dreamed of owning my own workshop and doing my own
projects anytime I want and FabLab is pretty close to what I had in mind. What
I can do to achieve this is definitely do more research on the machinery we
have in the FabLab and pay attention during the practical sessions. I can also
do more of my own projects in the workshop as the best way to learn these
things is through experience. If I do, try and work on projects I should seek
guidance from more knowledgeable people like the people supervising in the FabLab.
I know I have achieved my goal when I can confidently utilize the machinery to
its fullest potential and be able to create something that I can be proud off.
Second goal I have is that I want to have better
communication with my teammates. Last semester we did a lot of our work at the
last minute and our team composes of people with strong opinions, so we had many
disagreements with ideas so unfortunately our progress was slow, and we had
done a lot of work at the last minute. Thus, this time I really want to improve
on that and one way I can think of is getting either to a middle ground faster or
we are saying that we agree to disagree. I can achieve this by communicating
more with my team and getting to know them better overall so we can come to an
agreement more easily. I hope that we can complete and produce a great piece of
work and only then I will know that we have achieved this goal.
